Great Deal on an Oil Change.....arghhh...

Was just quoted $380 + 13% tax today, for an oil change on my MR at BMW of Mississauga. I apologize if I am beating a dead horse, but I was stunned when he gave me the price. Budds in Hamilton charged me $198 all-in last time, which I was OK with, considering that the oil itself is fairly pricey.

Yipes. I just had an oil change, new rear rotors and pads installed for $520, at the local dealer in St. John's. I know stuff like oil is more costly for an M, but that seems steep.

I just bought two liters of 10W60 at the dealers yesterday. $14.90 a liter...

The new bottles stated that it's for the Z4M. I guess because of some dumb service departments that they had to put it on the bottle.

All the ///M models by their M designations. The label is on the bottom rear of the bottle.
I can't get to the bottle right now or I would post them. Maybe tomorrow.

They are going to have to change the label again soon, when people start putting this stuff in the new M5s

I paid $140 for my oil service at BMW. As much as I wanted to not take it there, I didn't have time.

Considering it's $105/110 in material, I'll take it.

I wouldn't trust anyone to touch my car for a simple oil change. Just do it yourself and save the gamble of someone messing up your car.

Ya, I got the same quote from BMW Mississauga a while ago. They also offered me an economy version of an oil change without checking other fluid levels and without resetting the service interval reminder for $180. I went to Bimmersport and had them do the oil change for $120 + $3 disposal fee + tax (and reset the service interval reminder). I think they do good work at a good price. They installed my supercharger 2 years ago and its working just fine.
