Front Side Curtain Grill Mod
Someone ask what I had done on my front grill at the bottom of the Side Curtain opening. If I remember correctly, I first saw this on Dan's car. What I am talking about was the small car colored piece of plastic on the outside bottom part of the opening on front bumper - at the bottom of the openings for the side curtain slits. My car is AW, so by placing a small piece of black electrical tape on the bottom painted part (it is about an inch high), the opening seems to go all the way down, and not have that small white band at the bottom. Plus, with it being just black electrical tape, all you have to do if you don't like it is pull off the tape! Cheap and easy mod - it takes maybe 1 cent worth of black electrical tape and 5 minutes! Sorry I don't have a picture - I'm at work and the pictures are at home.

Cease and desist letters mailed...
But seriously, I'm honored that anyone thinks it looks better. Having the center section of the front end appear to float seems right to me.

Please can someone direct me to some photos and/or diagrams of all parts of the air-curtain system on the 1M. Does the air-curtain system cause any paint damage along the side of the car by allowing dust and particles to get blasted along the car. Does the car get dirtier more than other cars without the system?
Thanks for any help. |

It just gives an awesome look to the front end. Such a small touch, with a subtle yet awesome visual impact! |

And just in case you doubted: it features a vanity plate. (source: http://www.autogespot.com/bmw-1-seri...e-2/2012/06/17)
