Question Your opinions on Messing Metallic

I would like to know everyones opinion on having Messing (Brass) Metallic individual color on a 1M. how do you guys think it would turn out ? good, bad ? please post your opinion along with the Poll !

This color was an individual option for the E46 M3, E60 M5, and other models as well...

It really depends on the ambient lighting to show the true look of it.
some examples of bimmers in this color...

3er

M3

M5

Personally not a fan, but it's not barfing ugly either.

If you like it, do it!

I think its a stunning color but it looks, how can I say... showcar-ish.

Without being too much of a BMW fanboy right now I would say that color doesn't scream BMW at all. When I think classic BMW colors I think of white, blue, red, black and the brass metallic looks more fitting to a brand like Porsche who has tons of funky metallics and a long history of offering various shades of greens/brown for their 911's.

Great color just not great for a 1M... what about something like Mineral white or Aventurine silver metallic?

It would be nuts to go through all the expense of a proper respray and go with something like Mineral White, IMO.

That brass color is sort of interesting. I'm sure it would look fine on the 1M, but I personally wouldn't want to own a car that color, I don't think. Nothing bad about it, just not my favorite, I guess.

I think it is a bit too "mature" color for the 1M. Should fit better for bigger cars. But if you are already a fan of BSM could be an alternative.

That is an interesting option for sure ! Mineral white looks stunning on M3's however the difference is minimal from an Alpine white, the difference would be barely noticeable in general.

brass can give a more Elegant look for the already hooligan 1M

btw guys this is a wrap project which is extremely similar to the brass in terms of color and glossy metallic finish. it's not a respray, I'll get the Alpine white back whenever I want later on, up to 5 year + keep the original paint in showroom condition !

more photos of E46 M3 in Brass !

Subtle but definitely noticeable, if Mineral white was an option for the 1M I may have taken it over VO but I would not take a AW over a VO..

+2, if you go green, go bolder, like the M3 viper green or whatever it was called when it won COTM a couple of months back.

hmm well this Is green, but somehow an Olive grey mix, giving an elegant look coz of the lighted tone metallic.

im brainstorming so im still looking for options, but mostly within a similar color scheme

Definitely unique! I think with the right black and/or carbon accents on this or sepang bronze it could look aggressive! I've low-key had a crush on sepang bronze and always wanted to paint my 135.

True ! if you scroll up you will see a 1M in that color, which was ordered for a customer in Singapore, but it didnt turn out as good as it is on M5's, looks slightly darker i guess. it can also be the lighting.

I couldnt find a sepang bronze wrap, it couldve been an option also.

i think the below can be really nice on a 1M too as a second option to Brass metallic, this is Marrakesh brown Metallic, same color scheme, different tone...

Sepang Bronze would be the color I'd go for. Just as unique and a similar hue, but without the somewhat oddness that color gives (not that I don't like it).

personally like the orig 1M colors better than this option. the 1M screams for attention (just my opinion) and putting this on the car sort of downplays the styling. looks great on the other cars...just not sure i'd like it on the 1M.

blue, yellow, orange...well...that's the way I'd go if i were going to drop cash on a wrap
