transmission Software

Hey Guys

I just bought a 2006 M6 loving this car never knew M6 felt this way puts a smile on my face thats for sure

Anyway i took it to the dealer and i guess it has a recall for software for transmission update and previous guy never did it, should i do this recall? Is there a difference or what is the problem with the software on it right now?

The dealer cant do the recall until i update the ipod that the guy installed in the car he took out the 6 cd changer and install the ipod, Bm cant get into the computer intil i install the new ipod device does that make sense? 2 dealers told me the samething so far, question is how important is this recall ?? they want like 400 for ipod and i bet more for install. how should i go from here dont know too much about these cars Thanks

The reason you are getting no response is that you bought an E63 M6 and this is the F12/13 M6 forum--- you have a different tranny. Try posting in the model specific forum.
