Flying Rocks with picture
I got a rock flying to my bumper today on highway and it damaged my bumper. I am going to file a insurance claim. My question is can I have the dealer install the aero front bumper instead of the OEM one that I have? is there a clear bra for the aero bumper in the market? Mine has a clear bra too and i hope insurance will cover my damaged bra. The cover is missing too. I can't tell what I really hit to create these kinda of damage.

it looks like I need a whole new bumper just for that little damage. Expensive rock.

That can be repaired - you won't need a new bumper.

How? it probably won't come out perfect plus clear bra is not included. if i claim it, they will pay for clear bra too. only $500. bra alone is $250 for bumper.

Whatever you're , I want some too!
Please file a claim with you're insurance company. When they raise your rates, it will help keep mine low.

What i would do is have the tear filled and sanded and then put the aero lip over it and it will cover the dmg. and you will be ahear the aero lip can be done for less then the cost of your deductable. |

It's a comprehensive claim on your policy. Which should be the cheaper deductible of the two depending on how you setup your policy. Comp claims will not ding you unless you are filling a ton of them every year, its a no fault claim meaning you won't see an insurance increase.

This is a joke right? You gonna file insurance on a single rock chip AND you want to know if body shop can install aero kit vs oem kit for you. So I am guessing you want a brand new bumper because of this rock chip? Sorry, but this does not require a new bumper. Body shop will patch up the dent, sand it smooth, and repaint.
Everyone here needs to get something about their daily car, it will get rock chip no matter what. Unless you keep the car as a collection item parked in a garage, dont even bother about rock chip. You fix 1, another will come alive.
