New Toy in the Garage
After a 3 month agonizing wait my 335i Coupe finally arrived last week.
Dark Green Metallic with Saddle Brown interior; almost all the gadgets except Active Steering and PDC. I would attach pictures but I can't figure out how.(?) I am in serious perma-grin mode. I have absolutely fallen in love with this thing. I've had the car 9 days and have washed it 4 times (lots of bugs in Athabasca). Neck-snapping fast, tight crisp handling and super-model good looks. How did a geek like me get so lucky? Some initial thoughts, (this is essential a gripe list, but keep in mind I love this car): 1. I was surprised to see that the rear windows didn't roll down. Not a huge deal, but I just assumed... 2. Something hard on the inside of the bolster of left side of driver's seat (Sport Pkg) is poking me in the leg - very annoying on long runs. 3. The seat belt puts a bit too much pressure on my left shoulder, across the collar bone. I'm a tall guy and the belt height does not appear to be adjustable. I have the seat set at its lowest point. 4. I have a 8GB iPod Nano hooked up to the USB intergration. The system is very squirrely. A number of problems: The system forgets previous settings after I start the car: it does not always play the prior audio source after starting the car. I.e. after listening to the iPod, when I restart the car it plays the FM mode. When it does play the iPod after restarting the car it doesn't continue playing the song that was playing when I shut off the car - it starts from the top of the "Song" list. Which of course is always the same song. When I select random - it's not very random - it seems to play the same songs in the same order. Comments? Suggestions? |

pictures! can never get enough car porn.
the ipod integration has been semi-crap since the first one they offered. a lot of the times it seems like the random isn't actually random on ipods (and in itunes) and there is "smart shuffle" setting that affects the randomness of songs, not sure if it transfers over to the ipod or not, but if it does, turn it off... it sucks. |

That poking in the seat, could it be the adjustment for the bolsters? Once I got it right, I've never touched it again.....it doesn't go back with the memory.
Is that a clear bra? Seems to be a line running across your hood and part of the front fender..... |

Best of luck with your new ride! Looks great. I washed mine like 4 times in the first 2 weeks also. Now that pollen season has stopped, it's more like once every 2 weeks unless I drive in the rain and then it gets washed the next day.

Saddle interior is great!!
The switching of IPOD to FM will definitely happen if you disconnect the IPOD and reconnect. ie you take the IPOD out to go inside, bring in back and plug it in. |
