Blytheville SCCA Pro-Solo & National Tour: Bonus Challenge Win!

I am headed up to the pro-solo and national tour tomorrow. Going to work on sorting the car. It has not run for a few months since winning at Dixie.

Phase 2 of the build is complete. The bigger e93 m3 sway bar is on the car. The Konis were installed today and this weekend should provide the bulk of the data to sort the car.

There is about 35 runs on the Hoosiers and I think they will make it through the weekend.

I will post pics and videos from the event over the 4 days.

scca sololive will stream the event.

Big Win at the Pro

Live feed will hopefully be on soon (bandwidth issues at times):

and scoring:

Kerry is in the B2 class. But it does not show times for him. I hope all is okay.
And Kerry, I texted you 14 1/4"

I got it. I need to lower the car another 1/8th and put the bump on the front to get the car turning in again.

The reason for no times in the morning, was I moved ASP and then back to AS and missed my ru n group working on the car (lowering it).

I am just sorting the car in the pro and planning on running to win in the tour.

The car has much for grip in the rear but needs move response in the rear.

If it was Timing & Scoring that moved you around, you should be able to take those runs. Ask for provisional runs (see Howard). Seriously.

It was funny to get the measurement. I knew there was a VO 1M next to our office in Westport, but I know the guy is there later in the morning. I was scheduled to be at our Fairfield office at 9:00, so timing wouldn't work. I ran a few minutes late (grabbing coffee), and parked on a side street off of the Post Road. I got out and saw another VO parked on the Post Road. I scrambled to grab a tape measure and headed across the street. I yelled out "Hey 1M guy!" I ran over and explained what I needed to measure and was his car still stock and I owned the AW 1M "over there." He said sure. I measured twice (cut once) and headed back. He was on the phone and didn't seem to mind or care. Perfect timing.

That is funny.

I meet you DSP guy and got some tools from him to lower the car.

The issues with the runs was my fault. It saved $80 in tires, is the only way I can look at it.

I ran pretty bad. Did not walk the course enough and the afternoon runs were just feelers.

The backend feels good but I need to get the turn in working on the front. I m going up on bump and lowering the front an 8th.

I had fun. Bump class sucks.

60 foot times were about 2.0, at it's best.

Alex is a good guy. He has a VO 1M that he did Euro Delivery in September. Same time that mine was on the boat. His wife is gorgeous!

Got a second or so faster a side this morning. The changes improved the car. I was dirty on all the runs but I am sorting the car to run the tour, so I was ok with the mid pack finish.

I post the runs in a minutes.

When you have a chance, I'd be real interested in more details regarding the changes you've been making.

Thanks.. and have fun!

Right now i am increasing the bump on the front but i have stock springs, so this will probably not be apples to apples, if you are running stiffer springs.

THAT'S RIGHT!

Epic fail on this. I did not save the video or me winning.

I never would have won it if i had not coned out today and missed the morning runs on friday.

Luck played a BIG factor in this.

Ask me about the Meadowlands last year.

Big win at the Pro-Solo! A little luck and a lot of help from a lot of people.

Thanks: Hixson BMW, Hoosier, Bimmer Haus, TC Kline Racing, Race-Keeper, and my wife!

Bad 1st day at the tour. Left the traction control on the 3rd run which killed me.
