Anyone gone from comfort access and regretted it?
Both our cars have comfort access and I like it.
I am looking for a used 4.8i X5 and it's hard to find comfort access. So I was just wondering if I am being lazy, or will I live to regret it everyday that I don't have comfort access? |

you seriously can't live with the idea of having to press a button in order to get into your car?
IDK, maybe I'm just ignorant because I've never had this feature, but it doesn't seem like something that would be make-or-break for me in choosing a vehicle. Sorry I can't contribute more to your thread. |

I was pleasantly surprised to find out my car had comfort access when I purchased it last year. For $500, I think it's worth it. With that said being so cheap, all BMWs should just come with it standard.
Now if I had to buy another BMW tomorrow, I would like for it to have it but finding one without wouldn't prevent me from buying it. It's a cool feature but something I could live without if I had to.

To me, it wouldn't make or break a purchase. Buuuuut, I have it on my car and it's such a great feature, I'm so used to having it and it's great that I don't have to juggle my keys around (esp when my hands are tied). It'll definitely be something I look for in my next purchase.

I think this might be one of those things where if you have had it before and go to a car that doesn't have it, it would suck and could be a deal breaker.
But for me, someone who has never had it (other than on a rental every now and then), I don't think it would be a deal breaker or that big of a deal.

As nice as comfort access is it just flat-out pisses me off sometimes. I mean, it's really flaky on occasion. I wonder what their QC department is doing over there at times...SMH

Comfort Access is a must-have in my opinion. It allows me to put my key in a pocket and not worry about where it is after that. Better yet, I can put my wife's expensive purses to use and stash it in there. I also like that I can get in the car after the gym with my clothes stashed in my gym bag and still drive home. Without CA, I'd be digging through my bag in the parking lot looking for the key.

my first beamer had comfort access... i hate my life now that i don't have it.
but seriously it doesn't seem like it's gonna be a big deal without it, then once you don't have it it's the most annoying thing in the world. and it's not something you get used to living without.. for a while at least

I wish I had it again. My favorite thing was driving without having to pull my keys out of my pocket. Yeah, I know I'm lazy but it helps when you are carrying stuff or need to put on glasses etc. Just saves that extra little time.
