Too old and too used?
So normally i'm looking for a black/red 08 with around 30k to 45k miles.. But i found this car http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/3043581960.html
It is priced a lot lower than I am looking for, so I might be able to buy an extended warranty. Should I move on and continue looking for a car with lower miles? What are the differences between 08/07? (navigation is the only thing i can see being any different) Thanks. |

The car is certified, which is a plus. You won't be covered long enough for stuff that goes wrong later, but at least you will be covered for anything that is currently wrong with the car. The fact that CPO expires at 55k means it's low mileage; I hit the 100k mark before my time expired. The CPO was WORTH it.
If you find a newer car, though, you might find a CPO with considerable life left. I don't know what the used pricing is like for a 335. If you get this one, you better love red upholstery, because you're going to be sitting in it for awhile. |

I was under the impression that early build 07 did not come with the oil cooler. Maybe it was with the sports package or something. When I was looking around for cars I found an 07 without oil cooler but with sports pack.
In any event just telling OP i would make sure it has one. |

That's not much less than I paid for my 335. Plus mine has awd and 12k less miles... The private party prices seem to be MUCH lower than dealership prices for these car (like even a wider gap than with other cars).
I say wait for the exact car you want. It will come. Besides, that car isn't a stick shift... Come on now. Don't make that mistake. |

That looks like a great deal. I'd buy it. As for the Red interior, I've never been a fan, however, I always thought it looked pretty good inside a Black or Silver car.

Actually autos do have higher resale values than manuals.
Manuals tend to sit longer as well since enthusiasts only make up a small percentage of the market. |

On later years it started to become standard as limp home mode on the track became more prevalent and people started tracking the 335s more to point out this glaring oversight in engineering (I mean come on BMW who the hell would've tracked their 335s?)...duh. |

All 2007 335i's with MT came with the oil cooler. The AT's manufactured after May 2007 came standard with it.
Concerning resale value for MT, around here they are so hard to find, they are in demand on the used/CPO market and buyers are willing to go out of the local area and pay a slight premium for them. My local dealers have asked me many times if I would be willing to trade mine because they have buyers looking or waiting for a good MT to be available. Also, there are no interior, exterior or Nav differences between 2007 and 2008. The 2009 was the E90 LCI release and changed wheels and all the exterior updates as well as the newer Nav with HDD based system.
