Need help identifying options
I'm trying to figure out the options on this car for sale:
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...22821237&Log=0 I regrettably sold my 08 E90 M3 with 11k miles on it and got an X5 35d. I love it, but it was really my wife's pushing that made me do it. Now I'm just going to give her the X5 and get something else. Due to our commute now, I'm looking at 335i sedans and B8 S4. This BMW looks nice, low miles, etc. Maybe it's been modified a little (e.g. shift knob is definitely not factory). The bumpers seem unique to me, so I'm confused around that. I google'd M-Sport and that bumper looks different than M-Sport, also no M steering wheel so I'm confused about the rim/bumper package. Otherwise, it has heated seats and maybe premium due to the memory seats, but I really can't decipher any of the other packages. Thanks |

It looks like the 335i it has premium and cold weather packages. It looks like it has the M Sport package, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.
Personally I'd get the B8 S4 if you can find one in the same price range.

B8 S4s are holding their value ridiculously. Basically a similar car, 2010 with 10k miles can fetch $45k plus, so $33k for a similarly equipped/aged 335i with 10k miles makes the comparison more difficult.

Ok, it looks like this:
BMW M Alloy Spider 193 M Sports Package Sunroof Sport Seats and Memory Seats Heated Seats Park Distance Control Rain Sensor Xenon Lights Adaptive Headlights HiFi speaker USB/audio M sports suspension M leather steering wheel M Aero pacakge Shadowline There's more, but that's the gist. Well the steering wheel defintiely doesn't look like an M wheel, so it seems maybe the previous owner swapped the M shifter and M steering wheel out, maybe made some cash. Although not big items, makes you wonder if anything else was done. |

In MN you need AWD, in Austin, we don't. I also have the X5 so for that few times a decade it snows, I'm set.
I actually prefer RWD in sports cars for balance and fun-factor, but the S8 overall package is just so damn nice. They're also much easier to find in manual than 335is which seem to be like 98% automatic. I'll probably buy my time and wait for a good example of a B8 S4 Prestige to come by for $40k or less. |

The Audi dealer which is regrettably walking distance from my house has a 2011 with 9k miles, but they want $49k for it. It's just Premium Plus and doesn't have the sports differential. It's tempting though, but I mean they sticker for $48k new. This one only has navigation and the premium stereo, no other options so I don't think that's a deal by any means.
