boost gauge / data display experience?
Hi together..
has anyone of you made experiences with digital data displays displaying data like boost pressure, oil temperature and so on? We only have very poor systems here in Intaly - al requre external sensors and do not look very good.. I found a system from a German manufacturer which looks good - but I have no clue if this system is good or not.. http://www.insideperformance.de/onli...15/language/en it looks as a very cool integration and they write that no further sensors are required.. can anyone verify that this is techniqually possible? Or has anyone already installed this system? Would be very great if you have some information for me (sorry if this is the wron sub-form?!) thank you! |

talked to the German company - they told me installation is plug and play - the whole air vent part is exchanged agaist their product:
But I hope to get some more information from someone who already installed that product? |

Well I guess its not much more expensive than the P3 currently considering euro exchange rate. This one is more visually appealing than the P3 one which is also very nice, I would be interested in a side by side comparison between the two. Or some owner input as well.

Did some research: insideperformance is only a reseller. AWRON is the producer of this displays. You can purchase it cheaper at the AWRON website:

I use my cobb mounted on dash for all the boost reading and tons of other data. Much less expensive and requires no effort.

On german forums, people who have installed it (in theri E30 mostly) say it's great. The display is sharp. It runs great when cold and when it's hot. And the data displayed is accurate.

Buy a bluetooth dongle (OBDII) get a Samsung Galaxy Player and Torque from the Android marketplace. Now you can read *ANY* sensor and make your own custom display for about $200.

Where do you see 1200 I see 449 am I missing something? So around 570 after conversion? Yes P3 is 100 cheaper but this one looks cleaner can't say much about functionality though.

I have a new update for you guys!
I ordered one from www.insideperformance.de and already installed the unit! You cannot believe how great this thing is in real live!!! Looks even better as on the photos.. installation took me about 45 minutes - but if I have to do it again, I would easily make it in less than 30 minutes.. Display is very sharp - functions are great - not only oil and water temperature but also live data of current torque and power, g forces, voltage and a lot more.. And it looks so great - support was also awesome - they made a special installation manual for me in english.. if someone hat questions, please contact me! Interesting: I have a chip tuned car - and if even shows me the correct new power and torque! No more dyno tests needed they also have a new video available - if someone is interested in seeing it in action.. But video seems to be by far not as sharp and colorful as it is in real: What do you think? |

They now have an english installation manual in place! I supported them by writing the manual when I installed my display into my BMW 330i E91:
http://www.bmw-syndikat.de/bmwsyndik...l#Reply2398341 Installation took by about 45 minutes! |
