I have already launched my 335is a few times and I am either expecting too much or I'm not getting it right but I don't really feel a strong kick in power. Everytime I launch my tires burn out for a couple seconds and I take off but don't feel it kicking me back I'm guessing because of losing traction. My tires are brand new and car isn't tuned. I have also tried launching at lower rpm which reduces wheel spin but am still not feeling it.

Am I expecting too much or am I doing something wrong? Can someone explain a perfect Dct launch (not too hard I suppose).
Should I floor it off the line or should I control the pedal until the tires catch on and floor it?

Just keep the pedal on the floor, let it do the shifting. Don't Lift off till your done. The tires will always slip some. You'll love the 1-2 & 2-3 shifts, each one plants you further into your seat.

Turn DSC completely off , otherwise it is still kicking in.
I get 0.3 to 0.5 seconds better 0 - 100km/h times when DSC is fully off (compared to DTC mode only)

Mine is not an "is" but I also have the same 7 speed DCT

you can launch it way better w/o LC, i have 7 DCT and have proven in few brief runs that a lower RPM launch, even without brake boosting will give better acceleration then LC. that 1 s wheelspin makes a big difference.

if you want to feel torque punch, start rolling and gun the gas pedal at about 5 - 7 mph(street start) you get the most feeling that way
