Bear Mountain BBQ Meet on Sunday July 15, 2007

Since we are being sponsored by JMK BMW, you guys will not need to worry about food. Or at least I hope the $200 will cover everything.

Sorry guys, NO alcohol allowed at the park.

***Just to let everyone know, the longest we will wait at a meeting location will be 30 mins. So, if you cannot make it on time, you can always meet us at the second location or the final location. We have posted our #'s for you to contact us.***

Bear Mountain charges $6.00 to get in, per car.

Please try and bring a FRS radio with you, that way when we drive to Bear Mountain, we can stay together and that no one will be left behind. And if you have extra ones, please bring them with you for the people who don't have one.

Also, please re-confirm on this thread to let me know whether or not you will be attending. And which location you will be meeting up at first. Either the Mobil location or the GSP location. I need to get an estimate on the head count to get a permit for us to BBQ at Bear Mountain.

There will be 2 meeting locations at 9:00 A.M. One for the NY'ers and one for the NJ people and the final meeting location before Bear Mountain will be at 10:00 A.M.. Please see below for the meeting locations.

Meet locations:

Citgo (Used to be Mobil Gas Station) on the Palisades Parkway at 9:00 A.M.

Directions:
If coming from city/LI, take GWB upper level and bear right, take Palisades Interstate Parkway North. The rest area will be on the left around exit 4 or 5

If coming from Tappan Zee Bridge, stay on I-287 West and take exit 13S. This will take you to Palisades Interstate Parkway South. Proceed to around exit 4 or 5 and gas station rest area will be on left.

Best Buy in the Garden State Plaza where we had the first meet at 9:00 A.M.

Guys, since the meet is next week. I have started a new thread. That way people won't have to read through the entire old thread.

For the ones who have not replied to me, please let me know if you will be bringing anybody. For example, +1, +2 etc...

Also, please try your best to get a hold of a FRS two-way radio, so that it will stay organized and so that we will not leave anybody behind. Let me know how many you will have available, just in case some others cannot get a hold of one.

Since it's BYOB, I will try and see how much food, drinks, snacks that I can get with the $200 donated by JMK BMW for this meet. I'm still going to purchase 2 small grills, unless someone has one or two and would like to bring them, let me know. There will be hamburgers and hotdogs, since they're the cheapest to buy. I would suggest that you bring your own food too, if you do not like hamburgers and hotdogs.

As I said before, please let me know how many guest will be attending with you, because I need to let the Park Ranger know to get a permit for us.

As long as the weather is good (clear, dry and not 95 degrees), I can be the Pied Piper from the Citgo/Mobil station. I'll also be +1. Got to see what HyperM3 has cooked up for this event....

Considering I realized the eyewatering time in the morning that I have to meet people at the GSP, the treats might not be as fresh. Dont worry, nobody will get flashbacks from them or anything.

Wow I just got onto here now (been away for a bit), and if steve cant fully make it to the citgo first, then I have no problem being the first there to lead. Ive been up there so many times from previous Porsche meets...
