Terra Dakota Leather on TiAg???

Saturday, I have an appointment to buy my e90 at Beverly Hills BMW. This is what I plan to get:

325i
steptronic.
Sport Pkg.
Premium Pkg.
Titanium Silver
Burl Walnut Trim
Terra Dakota Leather.

My question is: Do you think the Terra Leather will go with the TiSilver? I am thinking it would be really cool, but worry it might end up being disgusting. I haven't seen it in person. I rather not go with the Black.
Grey and Beige are out of the question.
All I've seen of this color are the eddiej pics on the Interior thread, and the bmwusa.com website.

What do you guys think?

-Cosmo

P.S.- Anyone have any more Terra pics?

Hi Cosmo. Have you seen the terra pics in the last page of the Interior Thread?

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...2&page=3&pp=22

Unfortunately there aren't too many pics of terra floating around out there.

You really need to see it in person. The pics can be deceptive. It may be of interest to know that they don't let you choose a similar brown (Auburn) in the 5 series on TiSilver.....you just can't order it that way.(USA). The colors look very similar but I could be wrong. I think terra would be too strong of a color for TiSilver. Personally I think it throws off too much orange....not a good look. You need to ask youself if Black would ever look disgusting. It's certainly the safest choice and the easiest to maintain. My 3 cents.

i'm getting terra with Arctic exterior. i think it will be cool, an interesting and different contrast. and i plan to tint as well, so that will help the feel... Good luck in finding actual pics.

Here's a couple more of terra on silver. Remember that the actual color will probably be darker than what you see here since the flash is being used.

Here are also some excellent pictures of Terra with Poplar trim courtesy of Roup1 from his recent post on ED pickup.

Hmmmm.

I realize now that it isn't a two tone interior, its a THREE tone interior, with the headliner being grey!

That's sounding a little busy to me.

Next question: Silver with black interor with Walnut or Poplar trim?

Any photos?

If you are insisting on wood for the interior, go with walnut. I find the poplar to be too orange/red. The walnut is subtle, and looks classy with black interior.

I'm ordering TiAg w/ Terra but with Aluminum trim....I think the aluminum trim will tie the interior to the exterior....

I agree xspeedy.... Walnut looks the best if you go for wood. I've seen a Jet Black 330i with Black leather and Walnut... it looks very classy.

I was surprised to see such a combo coming together so beautifully, because I always thought it will be too dark.... The Walnut wood comes out beautifully with it's glossy shine against the other black bits inside the car.

Go with the poplar you need a contrast plus the alum looks almost fake (color looks off to me).

Ok- I just got back from the dealer and I finally saw a Terra Interior. It had the walnut wood. I have to say it looks a lot better in person than in the photos. It is much more Brown than the photos posted here. It is really a cross between the flash photos here and the Muddy brown on the USA website.
But.....

I'm now thinking that I should go with the Black with the silver. I know, it's common, but it seems so much more soothing than the three tone terra. I currently have the natural brown e46 interior, and I want a change.

The dealer didn't have a car on hand with the black/ poplar interior. It seems harder to get than the walnut- but I'd like to see it.I wish they still had blue leather- that rocked with silver!.

I agree that the aluminum is a little stark. I know it would tie in with the silver exterior, but it just seems like a broad flank of bright metal- just too much and not so classy. The aluminum trim looked much better on the e46
