With the official announcement from BMW of the New Navigation Professional and iDrive/ConnectedDrive, many of you have inquired when the technology (both a software and hardware [cpu, graphics processor, hard drive] upgrade) would be implemented on the various models.

Below is the scheduled rollout for the new navigation and iDrive. These dates do not apply to the new iDrive Touch system, which will have a separate rollout and application schedule.

  • Intel processor 1.3Ghz vs Renesas 600Mhz
  • 1Gb RAM vs 512Mb
  • 8Gb flash vs 512Mb
  • Nvidia graphics vs Fujitsu
  • 200GB hard drive vs 80Gb

For full details of the new BMW Navigational Professional and iDrive ConnectedDrive (including iDrive touch, voice dictation, in-car LTE, and more see http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=716464

BMW UK are advising my dealer that my September build F13 M6 coupe will NOT include the updated Navigation professional system.

I don't know what to believe now as the rollout schedule posted here states M6 (F12/F13) would include the update from July build.

Any other information out there to confirm exactly what I'm likely to get?

Judging by the pictures I've seen from the Laguna Seca launch, the M6 coupe does NOT have the updated Nav Pro :-(
