closing windows with remote

When pressing the open button on the remote for a few seconds while parked, it will open all windows and sunroof, how can you close all?

Unless your car is coded to do so, you can not roll them up with the fob. You must use the controls inside the car.

Huh? I close all windows by pressing the lock button in the same manner that you folks do to open all the windows with the fob, but that's on my E90. Have they changed that?

It's a USA "feature." Drivers aren't allowed to close windows with the fob in case someone gets their wee finger nipped. My E60 can close windows with fob.

This is correct, the F30 can be coded to enable FOB closing though.

That's if you have comfort access. You should also be able to take the key out of the fob and put it in the key hole, turn to lock position and hold it there. At least that's how it is on the F25.

I agree with those wondering why it was taken away, my '99 328i could open and close with the remote/fob.

What a pain!

In Australia my doors lock, windows close, sunroof closes, and mirrors fold in if I hold the lock button for a few seconds.

That's good... was reading the thread and wondering if ours did it from factory without having to code it ourselves...

That's because in Australia, your lawyers aren't as greedy and blood thirst as lawyers in the States ...

Finally I have found out something that I have in my car and many people out there don't.

My F30 closes the windows when the center lock button on the remote is long pressed.

From what you said in earlier posts, I'm pleased to hear you actually have electric windows!!

NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW THIS, BUT IF YOU HAVE YOUR WINDOWS AND SUNROOF OPEN, IF YOU HAVE CONFORT ACCESS, PRESS TWICE WITH YOUR FINGER THE LOCKING FEATURE ON YOUR COMFORT ACCESS AND WHEN YOU TOUCH IT THE SECOND TIME, DONT REMOVE YOUR FINGER, KEEP IT PRESS FOR 5 SECONDS AND IT WILL CLOSE ALL WINDOWS AND SUNROOOF! :P

HOPE EVERYONE LIKES THIS! :P

It's odd, and it can't be a litigation thing because Audi's have the feature to open and close windows and sunroof with the fob, so do VW's.

Do Audi/VW's allow that in your nook of the world?
