Retrofitting navigation in a BMW 3-series (F30) 2012 Professional radio with a navigation through the use of the AXION integration kits LCI BMW02 touch. The vehicle was used AXION navigation 2015EU ARF in association with the ARF-Wifi adapter and a smartphone as a hotspot so features like Google Local Search and Internet browser to use. The operation of the vehicle via a touch-screen film, which is mounted in front of the original BMW screen was, alternatively, the operation of the touch remote control of the ARF 2015EU possible.

This solution can also be problems in BMW 1 Series (F20) used vehicles with Radio Professional.

More NIK kits for Audi, Mercedes, Range Rover Evoque, etc. are also available.

I think this involves an interface box that is plugged between the screen & the HU. The interface box have various AV inputs and an external nav unit occupies one of those inputs.
The interface box is itself accessed via the idrive controller by pressing hotkeys.
