What was your comment about the various Kumhos tires again.the R compounds...is the V70A ok in 245-35-18 for my occasional track use. I think you gave me the low down on the various Kumho's on the phone..and I have forgotten what you said. You can PM me if you like. Thanks.

What's a V70A? The V710 is the new tire that looks like the Hoosier and the new BFG. 245 35 18 is fine to run and will accelerate faster as it is about 1" shorter than a 245 40 18 which are a bit tall at 25.7" but wider.

In 245/35R18 there are two types, the V710 and Ecsta V700. The V710 is much stickier and better for track use, while the Ecsta V700 should be shaved for dry track use and is considered more of an entry level R compound in terms of grip. Some guys run them full tread depth as rain tires.
