Dallas, TX owners- where did you get your windows tinted
Sorry if this should go in a regional forum, but I was wondering where fellow F30ers getting their windows tinted in the Dallas area. How much did you end up paying?
My dealer said they would charge $140, but since they are in central Texas, if I had issues with bubbling etc, I wouldn't realistically be able to have them fix it. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Neil P.S. Car is awaiting shipping after my ED, so I have too much time on my hands right now. |

I can't answer your question as to where to go, but...
For a $140, they must just be quoting you a dyed tint. Nano-ceramic is going to be closer to $300, or so. Given Texas heat, I would splurge on the superior heat rejection of a nano-ceramic tint. I may even splurge on the 3M crystalline, but that jacks the price to over $400 -- at least in Albuquerque.

I had my 328 tinted at AltaMere Dallas (http://www.altameredallas.com/). I opted for the ProShield (28% front/rear doors, 14% rear window) which came to $290 installed. I think it offers excellent heat rejection and look great too!

Mine was done by Beau Garcia at BMW of Dallas. $500 for CR70 all around on my F34.
And I do mean all around. In fact, he re-did my windshield at no charge when I found a couple of small bubbles; he even declined my offer to pay for the materials. PM for contact info. |

I had my 335 tinted at AltaMere in Plano. I opted for the premium ceramic tint and I think it was around $400 which included an amount for removal of some existing tint. I have been very happy with it so far, great heat rejection. AltaMere has been in business forever and have locations all over the metroplex. If you have issues with your tint down the road you can feel confident they will be around to do the warranty work.
I had my previous E90 tinted by the dealer and was never happy with it. It looked great but had zero heat rejection. |

I had mine done at z tint in Arlington off of pioneer and 360. I paid 150 to get front door windows within legal limits and back 3 windows limo tint. They offer lifetime warranty on their tint as well.

Tritek In Garland did ours. 2 trucks and 2 cars. quality work and service.
I would use them again in a heartbeat. BMW 328I cost with Winco tint with the front 6" strip. dark in the back end and Texas legal up front. but like the other person stated lifetime warranty for around 200.00. the guy to speak to is David or Elmer. m |
