Is it me or do the new 3's look meh?

The front end is meh. The rear is cool. Anyone else feel this way? I hope the coupe is better looking when it comes out.

its growing on me. To me, it just looks like a smaller 5 series.

It's always commonplace for owners of the previous generation to find flaws in the new generation. Ask non three-series owners how they feel about it and I'd imagine 9/10 prefer the F30's looks to the E90's. Give it some time and I'd bet it grows on you.

When the coupe comes out, and the facelift sedan in 3 years, our opinions should change.

Maybe, but I did like the e90's when they came out even more than the previous gen. This is the only gen where I looked at the front end and felt negatively about it.

I liked the exterior from day 1. The interior, with the stupid nav screen and stupid dash, well thats another story... Then we get a rough 4-cylinder, and the stupid electric steering. I'm happy with my E90.

Owned an E46. Did not like the E90 when they came out. Especially, the tail lights. On pre LCI I thought the back end looked like a Chevy Prism.

Hated the E60- ended up having 2.

F30- profile looks like E90, rear F10. Do not like the drooping front end. Do not like the way the hood cuts across the grill.

E46- Loved how the hood and grill were one. Thought it was very classy. Still Do.

IMHO the front-end of the F30 looks AMAZINGGGG, looks super aggressive with those headlights, but the rear, well......not so much

Seen a few on the street - they look as good as the E90's, still not a fan of the "beak"...

The looks are definitely growing on me, but after owning 2 e92's i cant stand the new electronic steering.

LOL the E92 didn't "grow on" anybody, it was a hit right out of the gate. The F30 is so new, you shouldn't be able to buy one, should be a waiting list, if it were like the E92 or E46.

+1 I agree with the OP regarding the base appearance, but the M-sport fixes things pretty good. I guess BMW decided the money was in selling more M3s and M-sport packages, and one way to do this would be by dumbing down the base appearance.

Growing on me for sure - especially the m sport; i loved the E46, and when I first say the E90, it took some time...same with the Audi S4 Facelift - hated it at first, now like it.
