What suspension do i have?
Ok i have searched for quite some time and cannot get a definite answer, i have a 2006 (56 plate) e92 SE with style 189 wheels, i dont believe it has the sports pack, is my suspension the same as an m-sport or not? if not how much lower is m-sport? i am contemplating buying m-sport springs that is all.

Have you tried the VIN decoder? It will list all the options of your car at built time.

I don't think msport suspension is any different than regular sport suspension, but i am not 100%.

The sport package on the e90 sedans don't come with the upgraded sports suspension. Only the e92 coupes with the sport package come with upgraded suspensions. If you do not have the sport package on your e92, then most likely you will not have the sport suspensions.

Looks like regular ole' non sport suspension to me... but that's just judging from the wheel gap and ride height. So not 100%.

1) E90 and E91 - will get sports suspension if the car has the sports package option. 2) E92 and E93 - all of these cars have the sports suspension, regardless if they have the sport package option. 3) All "Xi" models - none of the Xi models get the sport suspension, even if it is an E92 or E93, or if it's an E90 or E91 with the sports package. |

Not sure about Europe, but in the US, all of e92's came with sports suspension with the exception of the the XI model regardless of being ordered with ZSP or not. It is my understanding that the MZP suspension is the same thing as the ZSP.

if you dont have leg extenders, then you probably dont have the sports package. From the looks of things you're sitting at SE ride height there, and you have SE seats.
The sports package if you have it should have: -staggered sports wheels (225 front 255 rear) -sports steering wheel -sports seats -sports suspension. Thats the pack that my E90 has, and although i've often thought it looked a little high for sports, its definitely lower than yours. Guess age, mileage and condition will also have a slight bearing on ride height. if you look at your front arches, its not the same distance all the way around the tyre, there appears to be more space above the wheel, suggesting the car is sitting quite high. here is my car: and i appear to have a smaller gap around the top of the wheel. Although I've seen sports sitting lower than my car, and some that don't. So its all a tad confusing. Especially when mine is confirmed via VIN number as having sports suspension. if anyone can shed any specific light on this one. That would be good Last edited by shrink; 08-15-2012 at 06:12 AM.. |

Also read this post, this is just one of many articles/forums stating that the E90 with ZSP is only for visual purposes: http://www.bmwauto.net/forums/bmw/p/...e_worth_look/3
