Anyone successfully hardwire a garmin portable nav?

I have a thing against both mb and bmw factory navigation systems. in my last 3 cars, I hardwired a garmin navigation and set it on the left corner of the windshield. I understand our cars have the fuse box in the trunk which complicates things for me. Anyone hardwire a portable garmin nav to their F30 yet?
