New E90 owner here

Picked up a 2006 330i for the wife to replace her '01 Volvo C70 Coupe. I'm an ex E34/E39 owner turned Volvo S60R owner. I'm sure i'll have some questions after I pick it up and start snooping around. It seems like a non sport premium package car. So far I like it, it's not my kinda car...but perfect for the wife unit.

she did comment on not liking the wheels too much, but I stick to OEM wheels. She mentioned she liked some 5 spokes we saw, not sure what they were. They weren't M6 wheels though. No mods to the exterior, it's my wife's car lol. a JB4 for my wife? Are you serious lol? We talked about doing that if we settled for a 325i, but I think I was looking into the sprint booster as it was a bit more PNP. The 330i out of the box is plenty quick enough for her. Yeah im gonna be one of those boring E90 owners who doesn't mod them...sorry to burst your bubble .

Here are some pics of my previous cars.

Congratulations and welcome! Nice looking car -- I'm sure the wife will enjoy mashing the tall pedal as it is.

OT: I just moved away from that area (lived in Denton for 12 years), and I'm already missing the hell out of Whataburger. At least they have Shiner here...

Congrats! These are great cars! Looks like the original standard 17" 159 Style wheels - they are actually pretty cool looking wheels, just not on the E90...

Check http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/ for all OEM BMW wheels and specs etc!

JB4? Its a 330i, not a 335i.

You should run the 330 vs. the R. I bet they're pretty even, with the edge going to the 330 even thou its underrated

you do realize my R's rated 0-60 is about 5.6s right? A 6spd manual 330i might do alright if i butcher the launch, but an auto 330i...doubtful. My wife's C70 "feels" faster than the 330i, but on paper they're about the same.

We had quite the butt pucker moment today. The wife unit took it to work after picking it up from the dealer, got in it to go home at 5pm and the radio had no audio. Got home, pulled the fuses for a few minutes and it's working again. It also has an airbag light, but i'm almost 100% sure that's the seat mat. I found the thing to fool the light into going out and make the airbag work all the time.
