Luxury cars flunk new overlap crash tests
Only three of 11 mid-sized luxury cars and near-luxury cars earned good or acceptable ratings in the latest crash test from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. NBC’s Tom Costello reports.

I feel bad for that woman but she was in a KIA, killed in accident.
And remember last time Mercedes was challenged on the safety of their vehicles? 8.31.97, they proved it was driver/occupant error. |

Volvo is not so surprising but Merc and BMW are.... it probably is an inconsistent test. Why is the TL good but not the TSX. Both are made by Honda with similar engineering standards...

Interestingly enough, in my old car (Infiniti G37S sedan), I had an accident just like this (but on the passenger side). Thankfully nobody was in that seat though.
I was barely moving (in a left turn lane) and someone ran a red light as I was turning (I had the right of way). The guy at fault (in a mustang) was going over 40mph (amount of damage to my car confirm this). Crash was pretty bad, definitely totaled my Infiniti, but damage wasn't as bad as that of the Lexus that got hit in that video!

Like I said on Yahoo, (got like 300 thumb ups lol) the cars aren't the problem! It's the cellphone-using, distracted, and overall careless drivers that are the problem!
