Question about BMW ad..

So this is from BMW 's Website about deals on 12' 335is. It says

"Qualified customers only. Available at participating BMW centers through BMW Financial Services NA, LLC. Applies only to specific models and only for specific model years. 3.79% APR for 36 months available through September 03, 2012. $29.43 per $1,000. Also available, 3.79% APR for 37-60 months. Option Allowance is a $3,200 credit against the MSRP of the final purchase, loan or lease on a 335is Cp through September 03, 2012."

Where they say "Option Allowance Credit against the MSRP of the final purchase" do they mean $3,200 off of the MSRP on the car or $3,200 off of the negotiated price of the vehicle? Thanks guys!

The $3200 is "trunk money" from BMW. Think of of it like a "rebate" even though the snooty Germans are reluctant to use such crass vocabulary. Work out your deal and then subtract the rebate. That i coming from BMW NA, not the dealer. FWIW, there really is no haggling to be done on any e92 at this point. Any dealer that is still sitting with 2012s will happily sell it to you for invoice minus the $3200.
