those of you with your car in the shop for a while..
are you worried about how your car is stored?
As you guys already know, my car will be in the shop for X amount of time for a fuel pump. Should I be worried about how they store my car while it waits for it's fuel pump? I have seen my dealership and they don't have the best parking lot out there. Should/Can i make some requests?

I did. They kept it close to the shop under cover for a few weeks. Then it got moved to the main area. Still covered but tight spacing. They did keep my car cover on it the entire time (6 weeks). After all that they still managed to put a scratch on my trunk spoiler and what looks like a cigarette burn on the trunk lid. Cross your fingers.

I would probably take photos of my car before bringing it in. Then after all said and done, compare with the photos and see what happened. Also might want to tell your CA/SA that you're taking the pictures to protect both them and yourself if there are claims in the future. Just my "dot oh two"

Mine is outside in the sun, covered in dust now. It's a lease and they might have to take it back, so it will be there problem one way or another.

But you may be charged for the damages when you return the lease, no?

But your absolutely right. I'd make sure that the dealer knows you want your car in the garage, not on the lot. |
