Hi Folks

Today I've met "Stratus650" in Zurich and made some pictures.
I have to say, the ActiveE hood and the wrap color looks very nice in real.

It's funny, I had to endure weeks of ridicule/negative comments when I first got the hood. People calling it hideous, a shelf, ugly, a fivehead(bigger than a forehead), the equivalence of stuffing a sock in your pants...etc. glad to see it's growing on people. I get tons of compliments now. I don't think Stratus had a single negative comment on the AE hood in his 'wrap' thread. The best part of this hood IMO, is the fact that it is a BMW OE part, so fit finish is absolutely perfect!

Great photos but the Lux Angel Eyes really do finish the car off! I've got them on mine but when you see them side by side next to another 1M without them, the stock lights almost look like candles!

Who did you check with? I'm not sure that's entirely true. When I began my hunt for the AE hood, I was told it is impossible. Even BMW employees who frequent this forum said, it ain't gonna happen. Well, I got my hood within a couple months and then Stratus got his from the same contact. Where there is a will there is a way....but it's gonna cost you your soul! LoL, not really but it's not cheap.

I checked with a dealership that normally can get all parts - even all the BMW Motorsport parts.
It´s stated in the internal BMW system as no longer available.
