A quick, but odd question...

I was just wondering why my car when i unlock/lock does this annoying electronic beeping thing and my friends e90 doesnt...Its weird

Mine has what I would describe as a subtle, almost inaudible beep on lock and unlock and it's the alarm system signal. Did you have the alarm installed?
