Using Winter setup from 330i to 335i

In 04 I purchased a set of 17 inch Blizzaks mounted on "fox" wheels from TR. They have served my 330i well and still have considerable life. I would like to use them on my new 335i W/ sport ...
Will they Fit?
Is there any issue switching from 18'' summers to 17'' winters?
Can I purchase pressure sensors to mount in the wheels?
The TR part # from the invoice was SE9785148.
Will eventually purchase a new set up for winter.
Thanks for advice.

Don't think that they will fit

Hi there,

I have doubts that they will fit on the 335i because of the much larger braking calipers and shoes. If I am correct also the braking discs are larger which won't help for 17" wheels except you go for BMW stuff.

I wanted to get some 17" here in Switzerland but had to change my mind upon the dealers advice and went home with some beautiful 18" winter rims, tyres are 225/45 on all four.

Have to say looks really nice, almost as good as the summer 230 style.

Have fun.

Greetings from Switzerland

Standard E92 335i wheel is a 17"x8", and the brake size is the same whether sport or not, so the issue that a 17" wheel with winter tires will be too small for the brakes is not automatically true. A lot depends on the actual dimensions of the wheel, offset, and wheel design as it impacts the area allowed for the brake caliper. If you give us that information, the tire size, we might be able to offer more insight. My guess is that they will fit just fine.

+1. Try them. They might work.

The rim width and size is listed as 7.00 to 8.50 17X7 5-120, and the tires are 225/45QR17.
Thanks for your help.

The rim width can't be 7 to 8.5. They are either 7, 7.5, 8 or 8.5" wide. It really is hard to say without test fitting them. If they clear the calipers, they fit.
