MY CAR IS FREAKING OUT. Stereo buzz and random bass!

So ive been looking up about the stereo buzz, but i have a really bad case. even when the car is off an locked it wold let out some DEEP BASS heard from at least 50 feet away. Loud buzz when turn car on and off. It is very random and very loud. i really cant even or dont even want to drive it. I cant turn it off, or on. When the sound does eventually stop, my stereo still does not work. radio-cd-aux
nothing.

i had to pull a terminal on my battery to make it stop doing that.

is there a better solution out there or know of a fix? ive turned it on and off many times.

PLEASE HELP.

Check your trunk (underneath the liner) to see if you have water there.

This happened to me too a couple of times. I took it to the dealer & they don't know what the reason is but it just stops all of a sudden.

How does water get in there? What is it from? Would that be a potential issue on a 328?

My 2008 E90 did this twice in two years of ownership. No reason for it, it just sounds bad for a few minutes and then doesn't do it again for months. I think they've corrected this in later models. I don't think it has a thing to do with water in the trunk, just some random electrical glitch.

sounds like a high voltage leak issue. I would check Voltage regulator... or maybe a defective battery?

Im guess from my depo blacklines. Im looking it over and such shitty quality!!!!!

it shouldnt be a potential issue, but people also have said that it can be from a blocked drain. Not 100% sure yet. I was so close to taking everything out but i was missing my torq screw to find out the problem.

I too have a 2008 E90 and this same thing has happened, I previously had an aftermarket installed sub and I always assumed it was from that. It drove me nuts both times its been with friends in the car... like wtf is that?!!

But I too have depo blacklines, never thought about uninstalling them. Hasn't gone off in a while. Hope your car figures itself out OP, maybe put back on the OEM tails

that was just one thread... there is more over there on this topic. this issue is really hard to nail down as its nearly impossible to reproduce and very sporadic.

I've had my 08 E92 for a month now and this happened to me while filling up gas a couple weeks ago. Nothing you can do to stop it, just had to wait it out.

so yea i've been doing some research and its a common problem. amp related. just hope mine isn't fried. it was pretty soaked.

I put the oem outer tails in, hoping that stops the leaks. there seem to be a crack on top of the taillight where it meets the body where the water drains.def need to look into getting a new pair of oem blacklines.

No rain for a while so im letting my amp dry out. then test it in a few days.. Then when it does rain, see where or how it started. ill find the culprit, if not its the depo tails.

its not amp related. my 328 was a base model, no amp in that car... and this event occurred once every 3 to 4 months...

I had this happen once. Picked my car up from the dealer for some maintenance work. They also did a software update. Shortly after I had the noise, OP is talking about. Could this be a software issue?
This was over a year ago, it never came back.

Bingo. It lasts like 5 minutes, stops, and doesn't do it again for months.
