Verizon Samsung i730 & 06 330I Question
Took delivery of my graphite 330i last week and loving every second of it.
Only question I have is regarding phone and bluetooth. I am able to connect to make and recieve calls with no problems, but it does not download the address book as it should. Is this a problem with my phone? If so, anything I can do to resolve? Any help would be much appreciated. |

This is a common problem with most Verizon phones. They disable much of the BT functionality with most of their phones. Most people believe this is done so as to prevent you from transferring pictures/audio from your phone to computer, thereby bypassing Verizon's picture/audio pay services. This also prevents you from using your BT phone as a modem, requiring you to use Verizon's web pay service. Why they disable phone book transfer, too, I don't know.</RANT>
Anyway, although your specific phone is not mentioned here http://dts.vzw.com/pdf/bluetooth_chart_handsets.pdf the most likely cause is that Verizon disabled the BT phone book transfer feature. The only way to remedy this would be if Verizon released a software update for the phone (it happened with the Moto V710). This link is also helpful (especially if you decide you want to upgrade your phone but stick with Verizon): http://dts.vzw.com/how_to_use/bluetooth_car_kit.html
