Will spacers damage wheels?

I am not too sure how difficult it is to install spacers and I am just wondering would a regular tire shop knows how to install them. I suppose it is just an extra plate that u put it onto the hub first before mounting the wheels but then I heard some people damaged wheels because of bad install?

The use of spacers are unsafe. "Nothing's happened to mine" or "works fine for me " are usually what people say BEFORE rims fall off . If it's not made for your car don't put it on.

I'm about to put some RE 15mm spacers on my car... People's wheels fall off because they don't use the proper bolts, right?

watch it with spacers, they can be downright dangerous if not done properly

search for "spacer warning" to see pics of what happened to a spacer on my Z4 from a reputable vendor
