Anybody have the name of a reputable track insurance provider?

Great find Shimshimhada: However I don't want to pay that much for 3-5 track events a year.
Anyone have any idea of how you could find out if your current insurance would cover on the track without tipping them off that this is what you are doing? Anyone have experience with AAA? |

I have the BMW insurance through Liberty Mutual. I did this because I'm a 8 days a year guy and the Snelling Waters was a bit too expensive.
Anyway, Liberty Mutual's exceptions only exclude a timed event and a mass start race where there is a winner declared. HPDEs are insured through them as of my last conversation with my agent. AAA does not insure at the track. I moved from them due to this. |

I agree that the cost is a bit high for the number of events I plan to do per year. However, it is cheaper than the cost of the car so I decided to bite the bullet. Hopefully I will never need it!
American Collectors used to offer this coverage but they stopped due to limited interest. They were much cheaper...darned shame. I caution you about calling your carrier and asking whether or not they cover these events. I have heard stories of companies canceling folks merely for asking. While this is little more than urban legend, I would still be careful. The best approach is to thoroughly read the exclusions section of your policy. I read the rennlist thread which is how I found ProSure and Christopher Maume. He has been really good about getting back to me and providing information. He is a licensed agent in Georgia (verified on their web site). The company writing the policy is Hiscox (a Lloyd's company) with an A- rating in AM Best (according to Chris). It is worth a shot. I'd rather have it and not need it vs not having it and needing it...
