Winter wheels and tires for 335I coupe questions
Just a few questions for the winter season
Has anyone went with 19" wheel and tire package Was thinking Miro M6 19's with A) 235/35/19 Fr and 245/35/19 R TS810-S from Continental non rft B) Bridgestone LM-25 19" non run flat Fr 245/45VR19 or 245/40 and Rear 265/35VR19 C) 18" 255/40/18VR all four corners What do people think about running staggered sizes front and rear for winter tires? Also without runflats should i rely on roadside assistance or get a spare of some sort? Thanks in advance Mike |

The more skinny the tires, the better snow traction you would get. Personally I will probably be running 225/40R18 all the way around. May do the staggered 225 front 255 rear, but that wont be able to be rotated. Best way to do it

Thanks for the feedback Park, good ideas. I want to run 19's in the winter so i can swap out my rims with Miro for the summer tires. I do have the 230 style wheels though and they are nice. are you switching your rims as well between winter and summer. if so what are you going to use?

17" Winter wheel and tire setup from tire rack. 225 at all the corners. You want to cut through the snow, not plow it.

i ran 240/40/18's on all four corners on my S4 and it was awesome in the snow/rain etc. AWD may have helped a little, but the tires were pirelli wintersport 240's and they really gripped well.

That is correct. Wide, low profile tires on large diameter wheels are trouble in the winter, and it doesn't help especially on a RWD car. 17" winter wheels are perfect. 18"s are somewhat ok. 19's - see you in a ditch somewhere!
