Rotational Whine 2006 - 325xi
Hey everyone,
Just got my car back for the second time and still do not have a solution. When my speeds are at 20 mph or below, I hear a rotational whine in the rear passenger wheel area. When I approach stops or accelerate for speeds between 0-20mph I hear the noise. It does not get louder or quieter when applying the brakes and I do not experience any vibrations or handling difficulties. my mechanic took apart and cleaned all the calipers, rotors, and pads and said everything looks normal and the rotors and pads only have 3k miles on them. Anyone have any idea what it might be? Mechanic said everything looks normal and that its safe to drive. Thank you for any insights you may have! |

I agree, check your wheel bearings. Jack up each wheel, grab the wheel by the sides (never put your hand UNDER the tire) and give it a shake.
If you have jackstands, jack up both rear tires and give them a spin. Be sure to chock the front tires first!
