Revozport Diffusor Fitment

So my goodies have arrived at my residence (sucks been at the office at this time), in prep for the installation that I plan on doing this evening, are there any additional bolts / nuts that I would need over and above those I that remove from the OEM diffusor? Any suggestions / tips/ hints on the install?

the OEM diffuser rivets come out and i suggest you get brand new ones to secure the revozport diffuser, they are cheap from dealer. good luck and post pics when you got it up!

EinserM thanks for all your advice, however the rivets I got from the dealer for some reason didnt fit, it was just just to big, so will have a 2nd go at the install this evening, removing the original diffusor was easy.

Also got some Betalink for the rear trunk lip....now to get through these damn meetings

They'll be there soon! You are going to need some more juice to make sure your new clutch gets a good workout though

I had a similar problem with my vorsteiner diffuser. I ended up buying two different sized OEM rivets and neither were the correct diameter. I ended up having my installer enlarge the holes in the diffuser. You figure they would measure the holes on the OEM diffuser and use that size on the after market piece. Vorsteiner didn't even respond to my email when I asked about the rivet sizes. Poor customer service means I won't be buying anything from them again.

For that money it should come with golden rivets (of course in OEM size).

OT, but I would really like to see some more shots of installed Vorsteiner diffuser, particularly from low and even from ground straight up. Perhaps other or own thread, ...?

I installed my Revozport diffuser with ground effect panel 2 weeks ago. Carefuly removed original rivets so I could use them again without any hesitations. Except of them I used 2 more bolts.

Reviving a very old thread here..

But I just received a brand new Revozport 1M RAZE Diffuser w/ Ground Effect Panel today and am attempting the install myself. I've successfully removed the OEM diffuser, but am struggling with getting the Revozport one bolted on.

(How) did you guys glue the fins to the ground effect panel? or not use them?

Which of the rivets/bolts did you end up using? Were they from BMW parts? Because only the very left and very right bolts are the only ones lining up with the holes on the diffuser for me.

After several trips to BMW Parts and then Home Depot, I completed the install!

Tried & FAILED, will NOT fit through Revozport diffuser's hole:
- The fins that are supposed to attach to the Ground Effect Panel will NOT fit with the OEM exhaust.
- Diffuser: BMW Rivet, Part# 51-11-1-944-537
(as uncertainly referenced on this thread here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...=623106&page=3)
- Diffuser: BMW Rivet (same used to attach OEM diffuser to bumper), Part# 51-11-8-222-901
- Diffuser: BMW Hex Screw Nut (same used to attach OEM diffuser to bumper), Part# 07-14-7-129-160

What actually worked:
- Attached Ground Effect Panel using 2 of 3 OEM bolts using 13/32 socket wrench (ended up not using the closest right socket for better alignment);
- Slipped on the rear diffuser via the clips and secured the left and right sides with...
2x "Stanley" branded 1/4" grip range and 3/16" diameter Aluminum rivets, which I used a riveter (~$10) to install.

Looking back, for the price of this thing.. I really wish the necessary hardware would have been included.

Hope this post saves at least one future purchaser from the senseless hardware search I had to go through.

- I bought high-temperature grade epoxy/resin combo (~$5) to glue the fins onto the ground effect panel. And then attached it to the 1M using the OEM bolts.

used OEM hardware and just drilled the rear diffuser into the ground effects panel.

Are you talking about the two different shaped loose carbon bits? I could never figure out what they were for and just left them off.

Any pics of this all set-up now? It's a great looking diffuser

Yeah, Revozport called them 'fins' within the installation instructions - but they did not fit glued onto the ground effect panel against the OEM exhaust system.. not sure why they included them.

There are plenty of pictures of the diffuser installed available online. I was just struggling with specific instructions on what to do with each piece. I'll post pictures of my 1M Raze partial conversion project once completed
