Service Pack beyond 60,000 miles?

I'm toying with the idea of buying a 60 plate with 55,000 on the clock that has the 5 year/60,000 miles service pack. Problem is that this will be useless as 60,000 might not take too long to reach.

I understand you can extend the service pack beyond the usual limits on a Mini but my local dealer confirmed this wasn't possible on a BMW.

But, I've also heard that if you speak to BMW UK directly they allow you to extend it.

Does anyone know what's possible or not??

Thanks.

That's warranty. I'm talking specifically Service Pack. Thanks anyway

If it's from a main dealer can you not just make it a condition of sale that they give you an extra year or two service built in? If they are selling the service pack as a benefit knowing that it's only good for 5k miles then that is very cheeky. Make a thing of it. Labour is free to them so it's only worth about £100 in parts to them whereas it'll be worth about a grand to you..

Dave, you know the car I'm talking about .

Car is with a trader, service pack already on the car since new, hence being 2.5 years balance remaining. But, being 5,000 miles away from the 60,000 limit, means the final 2 years (roughly) will lose the benefit of free servicing.

Not the end of the world, everything else I've looked at didn't have the service pack, so this technically not also just puts me back into the same position (just annoying to know it's there but can't be used!).

Will give BMW UK a call and see what they say.

Right, BMW UK have confirmed that you can't extend the BMW Service Pack (although you can with a Mini). Annoying but at least I know.
