or not, or shall i buy the 0w30 petrol castrol oil?

just want the best for my baby, she is a very advanced engine and dont want to stick shonky diesel oil in, if she needs better

The 0w30 castrol from memory is the "use this if LL04 isn't available" if I recall correctly from the manual.

I went with the TD LL04 stuff from Halfrauds.

I bought mine from the dealer, same price as Halfrauds plus got the funnel, gloves and dipstick wipe.

BTW buy the diesel oil not the petrol.

For massage I would always use fully synthetic oil from castrol.

I'd have thought the 335d would run on waste oil from chip shops? Most tractor engines will.

My masseuse tends to use Mobil 1 on me, always keeps my skin soft and moisturised until the following week

There's nothing much left for us petrol owners now, since diesels are faster, give better mpg and have much stronger residuals we are a doomed race.

PS: Did you know that the 'Forest Moon Endor' was originally going to be the planet of the Wookies and Chewbaccas homes. Late in the day, George Lucas decided to rewrite the script to introduce the Ewoks (wookie in reverse) as a more 'cuddly' character to broaden the films appeal.

PPS: Ewoks actually speak a real language invented for the film with a vocabulary of several thousand words.

so guys i bought the oil... now any NORMAL car i would check after the car has been stationary over night and check and top up as necessary!

but some of you ''manaul gurus'' seem to think it must be checked once the car has warmed thru

can someone confirm this? like dave???

also when i checked from cold its just under half way

when i check when its warm it shoots to the maximum

i mean WTF



most cars would show up less after running as oil is still in and around the head/turbos etc not the otherway round

By 'manual gurus' do you mean people who actually have sufficient literacy skills to open, read and understand the vehicle handbook?

So young Carlos, as a professional railway engineer are you familar with the concept of 'time and motion study'?

I would suggest that the amount of time and resource you have expended in writing on the forum about the type of oil to use and the correct procedure for checking levels is dramatically greater than the time it would have taken you to read the feckin manual (not the whole thing - just the relevant page).
