New Product: High Flow Air Filter for F30 N20

High flow OE style air filter replaces the restrictive factory paper filters and lets your engine breathe better. Paper filters do a good job in keeping dirt out but can clogged easily so that they need to be replaced frequently. Foam filters are washable/reusable, allows more airflow.

Dyno? Proof this even does anything? The factory airbox seems to be pretty good.

Drop in's have never been a power mod, would not be able to differentiate the 1-2whp variance run to run lol.

you dont buy a drop in filter for hp or tq. it will flow better than the stock paper filter and youll notice slightly more responsive throttle response. Your car will feel a little "faster" via the butt dyno but in reality there is a negligible gain in actual power. Notwithstanding, you may find your top end to be better with the increased flow over the filter and an improved overall experience. I installed the afe scoop recently and noticed a little better throttle with the increased airflow to the box. Ive been seriously contemplating a drop in since all the intake options are garbage. in my previous vehicle i swore by my K&N drop in filter

Here is a good review on the N55 foam high flow air filter with dyno results.

This particular filter wasn't tested for that, but just by the design and material alone it flows better than OEM paper.

Similar foam filters have been sold and used on N54 and N55 with good results. If you would like to perform the actual dyno testing, we can provide the filter free of charge. Foam flows better than pleated paper so there is increase in CFM.

Is there any increase in Mass Air Flow Rate at all compared to the stock filter?

I had tried a Pipercross foam filter and that one had less air flow than the stock one.

Easily testable with OBD2.
