If you're under 30, i'll stretch and give a black grill an even, 50-50 score on a red or maybe blue car, and then only gloss to match the overall shine of the paint. Other colors, definitely go with stock.

Personal preference would be stock for anything.

The carbon is silly looking...

I voted gloss because it matches the other black trim pieces with Sport Line. Putting matte or CF introduces a new color and because they're close, but not identical, it bothers me.

Same reason I don't like black rims (the wheel well and tires are different blacks than each other and from the rims)

Nice! Doesn't stand out as much on the silver car vs. other colors, but I think I like it! Where do you buy that?

Well the only place there is chrome on the msport f30 is the grill. Sorta sticks out like a sore thumb against the black trim. And that shiny black grill is oem m performance designed by Germans too, if I'm not mistaken. Mod..don't mod, each their own. I like a little personalization.

Agree. The only time I like matte is on my glasses.

Agree. That is the reason I decided to order the gloss black grilles and black chrome exhaust tips. Chrome on the m-sport sticks out. Plus the Mrs. saw the black grilles on a test drive and actually commented on them (and she does not care about cars).

Gloss. Matte might work. Decorative Carbon Fiber is just way too gaudy/eBay/Autozone/cheesy for my tastes.

What abouit the chrome on the BMW roundel? What about how it goes with the silver/chrome front headlight assembly? There is also some silver on the back of the front mirrors and chrome exhaust tips and my chrome BMW rear license plate holder.

Everybody should do what looks good to them but I want my car to look German and the way they designed it. So many mods make the car look like a rice burner....sorry but that's how I see it.

LOL, dammit, I think I'm the only tard that voted for the CF...

I don't know, I have the gloss Black M Performance ones, and they're nice, but I would like to tie the CF Spoiler to the front somehow...otherwise it just looks like i have an MG car with a CF spoiler.
