[Wanted] Headlight housing cover
My drivers headlight is missing the cover from the back so it's steaming up. Would anyone know if you can order them individually or have any how idea how I could get one?

I have a self confessed headlight fetish from converting RHD to LHD etc and modifying about 12 sets for many different JDM cars, in particular Evo's.
I know from having this problem myself that you can find them on eBay occasionally, at breakers or depending on the car, order them as a separate part. In the meantime my suggestion would be to get some silica gel bags out of something like a new handbag, yes, take the plunge, let the missus treat herself to one lol and take the silica gel and tie it securely to a bit of string and pop it in the headlight. Before you do this you could also GENTLY warm it up to evaporate any moisture with a hair dryer, heat guns are too hot. Seal the back with electrical tape, a toilet plunger head or even the bottom of a drinks bottle can work to keep the water out. The silica gel will absorb any left over moisture leaving you to source the cap and replace it. HTH |

You could buy a damaged headlight from eBay and sell the other bits after you have taken the cover?
Breakers on eBay? Local breakers? |

Buying a damaged headlight is to much hassle as well and what part could you really sell on rather than the bulbs? |

They don't sell quickly but if the unit is cheap enough and in good nick you may make most of your cash back... Depends how much you want a rear cap I guess. |
