Opti coat and Hard water deposits
My car is opti-coated.
Had to take my car to the dealership to have it checked out for an error message. I asked them not to wash it when they were done. They freakin washed it and left it out in the sun to dry. My car is Black Sapphire Metallic. And now it has hard water deposits all over it!!!! I've read where some folks used a vinegar and water solution (sounds like a douche commercial) to spray on and wipe off to remove the water deposits. Anyone know if this would adversely affect the opt-coat? If not, what is the ratio of water to vinegar? Thanks.

Well now that your car is opti-coated...bring it to a touchless car wash, then use a leaf-blower to dry the car.

Strong solution of Surfex-HD (eg 1 part 15 parts water) and soak your car in it.
Then just wash with two regular two bucket method and dry with a good towel. There is pretty much nothing surfex-HD wont shift, so if this doesn't work, the water spots are etched into your paint, and you need a polish and wax job to get rid of them. |

Opti Guard will not be removed with chemicals..it needs to be abraded to be removed...
you should be good to wash or decontaminate with regular wash, or iron x snow foam... if thery are still there and require buffing, id do it by hand with poli seal...very mild abrasive.. |
