Operating TEmps
Now i know its £"$%"%$ freezing outside and it feels far lower than 2C but would that be a reason that even after 30minutes at 70mph my water temp is only 86-86C.
I would expect it to be a bit higher or is that normal. Just wondering what the up to temp time should be as I suspect if it staking too long it could be signs of thermostat wear. How long would you guys expect a 320D to hit operating temp. Did a quick measure today and after two 5 mile runs with 10 min between them temp did not go above 80C. I'm sure it use to get up to temp far quicker originally.

If you are attaining 86 clicks I'd say it was normal.
If you are that paranoid about it shell out £70 and change the thermostats yourself and then relax in the knowledge all is as good as it could be.
