Spark Plug Socket Tool anyone?

Anyone in nova have the socket tool for the n54/n55 spark plugs?

I need to borrow it for 10 min to change out one plug that I think has failed.

I will be super greatful and Ill bring a 6 pack of ur choice that u can enjoy while I change it out.

You can rent/buy one at Autozone for cheap. I forgot the exact pricing, but thats what i did

The N54 spark plugs aren't seated in the motor like regular cars. The one needed for the N54 BMS sells.

I think I paid close to $30 for my BMW socket.

Looks like they are closer to $20 if you look around.

Schwanen makes a great socket for the N54 and N55. Sears currently has a killer deal on it, free shipping and it's on sale for sub 15 bucks.

Guys - I know you all have good intentions but I actually do own one that my friend in VA Beach is currently borrowing and I wanted to change out a coil pack and plug asap to check on misfires....your posts were not helpful

Hey thanks - I didn't know that was set - my apologies if you were waiting for me to stop by - miscommunication on my part then. My buddy brought mine back that night so I was good. Ended up being a bad VCG anyway

Chuck, no worries, i wasn't waiting no harm done. Did you end up fixing the VCG? how bad was it?

flip - i live in university Center, BUt im moving to the village in a month or so. there are quite a few people that live in ashburn. we should all get together

It wasn't in pieces like some I have seen here, but it was def hardened and cracked enough to leak oil into my cylinder 2 and 3 coil bays.

I am still burning oil and the exhaust is still a little smokey but I believe it should subside as it's not leaking anymore. I assume it's burning off oil that was left over?
