Tracker system for insurance and GAP

im in the process of getting insurance quotes again, however most insurers insist that a tracker is required for me to be covered so what is the cheapest way for me to do it? Tracker Retrieve? Will the better the tracker the lower my premium be?

and

will GAP insurnce be necessary?

You'll need to ask the individual insurance companies that question I think, G33.

Tracker Retrieve should be fine, but you need to check before having it fitted, otherwise, they may just tell you that you haven't met the terms of the contract, if you do need to make a claim in future.

I wouldn't bother with gap insurance unless you have finance and you'd be worried about owing more than the insurance company paid out.

As Viv says, check with the insurance company to make sure what you are thinking of is on their list. Many will have a list to choose from if you try and get an online quote.

In the end I expect that a lot of us have had "Tracker" units fitted 'cos the dealers offer them and you can get it all done without hassle before the car is delivered.

G33 try A Plan (Broker) and mention 'BMWLand'. They will discount and quote with or without Tracker. I insured through them with Zurich, even cheaper than going direct on Zurich website. I paid £470, protected NCB low risk area xs of £200 no tracker required. I would only have saved £70 or so with Tracker not enough to pay the annual subsricption on a Tracker.
A plan number is on www.bmwland.co.uk .

I also went for GAP, I got it cheap enough and it is peace of mind for me. Each to their own when it comes to this.
