1st gear to 2nd gear.......
Anyone experience difficulty shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear???. I have to use more force when I go from 1st gear to 2nd gear. The other gear are much easier to shift (330i, Tisilver,SP,PP, 6MT) . Thanks for any comment.

I noticed the same thing. Picked up my E90 about a week ago. There seems to be slightly more resistance going from 1st to 2nd than there is with any of the other gears.

No issues shifting with my 325i, 1st to 2nd seems the same as the other gears.

I had the same problem in my E46 325ti. It eased up a bit after about 10 000km's, if you are unhappy though, take it to your dealer and ask. The worst they can do is say "It's BMW standard".

In the manual..it said the clutch doesn't reach it's normal operation until 300 miles. I wouldn't complain to the dealer until you have finished your break-in period.

Probably the infamous CDV valve and drive-by wire throttle. Smoother shift usually easier to accomplish @ higher rpm (3k-4k range) in E46, maybe the same for E90
