New navigation sys for the F30

When are they going to start manufacturing the F30 with the new nav that is already in the 5 and 7 series?
I did order my 2013 335i with nav and euro delivery yesterday :-) and I have a small hope for the new nav sys be installed on my car

From what I've read here, seems like MY 2014 is the soonest you can expect it in the F30, sorry dude. On the bright side the upgrade appears to be mostly in the "snappiness" department, which while awesome, is more of an evolution rather than complete refresh of the UI/features.

The only 3 it's on is the active hybrid 3. It comes standard with the 8.8 screen and the DVD drive. Even if you don't buy navi.

I've never used it, so only things I've see are via threads and press releases. What would you say are the "game changers" on it? Not trying to argue, just curious.

The NBT system has a ton more storage, much faster, and hopefully will support better dictation and office functions. In addition, I hope that future upgrade on it include Siri Eyes Free and perhaps the touch iDrive controller.

+ coding will enable the video player and hot spot (only with the NBT), you could also stream video from your phone to the headunit... tons of good stuff...

any idea how much a retrofit might end up costing in the US? I have a 2012 F30 and if it's reasonably price, I would love to upgrade to NBT from CIC.

Has 8gb more of useable storage. 12 to 20 if I am correct.

???? What?

How exactly does one get new navigation system if one doesn't buy navigation?

Post-NBT vehicles and pre-NBT vehicles are made very differently, in terms of modules that are used. So simply replacing CIC with NBT will not lead to normal operation of the system. So you can either replace a ton of modules (for a lot of $$$) or wait until we develop a good retrofit solution

Should be possible to retrofit, but we haven't tested yet. But we will.

Thank you. I am interested in ordering the F31 and they are talking about a July tech change. No idea what that means but I know it comes with NBT today. Hoping whatever the change is it can be retrofitted
