Ebay splitters
I just bought splitters and the famous $59 spoiler (which is now $62 painted and shipped) from the ebay seller emotors. Splitter were around $140 painted/shipped. The spoiler came with the double sided tape attached and the splitters just came with a roll of the same tape to apply yourself. The spoiler only took a week to be in my hands whereas the splitters took approximately 3 weeks. I am quite satisfied with the results and the seller.
I choose to put the spoiler is flush with the trunk's edge instead of a 1/4 inch like oem I love the look of the splitters. They completely transform the front end. Next up is the trim wrap. Its dark blue with a cf texture. ( http://www.rvinyl.com/Carbon-Fiber-Vinyl-Film-Blue.htm ) I hit a snag because I don't have any needle nose pliers to get that the wires going to the emergency lights so I am still in the process. Its a tad more difficult than I had anticipated, especially to get the corners right, but it looks great. I can already feel the haters.

The material is listed as ABS...I have no clue what that actually means. They seemed a little flimsier than I had imagined. I have very minimal experience with body parts and I was able to do it. Only problem I had was getting the inside corners to stay stuck on. The rest of it fits great. There is a small gap because of the width of the tape but unless you're super anal about it, it shouldn't be a bother. I put a little super glue on the inside where it wasn't staying flush with the bumper and propped it up with some phone books until it was dry and now I have no doubt it stuck on there for good.

Only fits e90 LCI but I am sure there is some facsimile for the e92.

ABS > FRP... my first set of splitters were FRP and were crap compared to my second set of ABS splitters. One suggestion would be to have a protective coat as the splitters chip easily (reason why I'm on the second set, first set had a lot of rock chips after 6 months)

I just ordered the same set. M3 style spoiler and splitters for my 330i I just picked up.
My front bar is different to yours. Hope my splitters are ok. I have a non-sport 330i 2005 e90. |
