F10 M5 engine bay washing/shampooing

The weather finally gets better and looks like the whole weekend will be sunny (hopefully) and warm enough to do a nice wash. Sine I will be washing and waxing the car, I am planning to wash and detail the engine bay. I have done same thing on my other cars in the past and they turned out great. Autoglym product is what I usually use. Any tips from you guys regarding what I should pay attention to the M5?

(My technique to first wipe down the entire area with a towel and then spray the detergent all over. Wait 5-10 mins then rinse it down with gentle stream water from a hose.)

Should work fine since the engine bay just gets dirty, not oily. I usually use a cordless blower, like makita cordless, which dries it quickly.
