Howdi Rs6 ~ 580 Bhp

My wife likes the look of the newly announced or is that officially leaked? RS6
0 --> 200Km 14.9 sec

Opens for UK order in November 2007 for first deliveries in spring 2008- UK pricing to be confirmed but Avant expected to cost in the region of £75,000 OTR

I think might just still take the 997Gt3

They say
Yet despite the considerable exertions of its two newly adopted turbo chargers, the mighty V10 nevertheless retains surprisingly ‘real world’ fuel economy, with up to 20.3mpg possible on the combined cycle, only slightly behind the naturally aspirated V10 powering the S6 quattro. FSI direct petrol injection - which minimises the amount of fuel used in each combustion cycle through injection directly into the combustion chamber rather than via the intake manifold - can be thanked for this impressive efficiency.
But I suspect with 580 BHP & 650 NM (480 in old money) from a 5.2l V10 with twin turbos is not going to be anywhere frugal.

Remember an S6 is 1910Kg...its gonna need those big stoppers....

I do like the Audi steering wheels with the 'squared off' bottom.

guess that means that there wont be an rs5 or rs3 for a while as audi only do one "RS" at a time, oh well.

It looks nice, but I still don't rate their engine tech compared to of course BMW etc with MPG/emissions in question. Still i wouldn't complain if one came my way! but 75k is a lot of money for an audi!

55k for an m3 instead and use the 20k for a long holiday

i do like audi interiors, but is that enough to buy one, was in a a5 the other day, but i wasn't impressed with the quality in general, the a3 was better, the photos do the interior too much justice if that makes sense

sorry i am too biased

I sort of see what you mean the dash layout can be a bit random, but those RS seats are the dogs....its the ride quality that typically turns me off if I get past looking in the showroom.
